The motorised air cooled range adds an AC synchronous motor drive to the proven Dimmer Dot variac platform, enabling remote and automated voltage control. The motor sweeps the carbon brush contact from zero to full output voltage with configurable sweep times from 4 to 120 seconds.
Micro switch travel limits at both ends of the travel range protect the brush mechanism and provide end-of-travel signals for integration with external control systems. This makes motorised variacs ideal for automated process control, PLC-integrated systems, and applications where manual adjustment is impractical.
Available in single phase (230/240V) and three phase (400/415V) configurations with current ratings from 8A to 28A. All units are portable (bench top) configuration and NATA tested in Australia.
